Kimberly S. Hodde belongs to a number of professional organizations relating to criminal law and the practice of law.  She is a member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.  She is also a member of the Tennessee Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and was asked to serve on the Federal Defense Committee within that organization.  Ms. Hodde has authored a federally based column in the monthly magazine published by the Tennessee Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.  Additionally, Ms. Hodde belongs to the American Bar Association, the Tennessee Bar Association, and the Nashville Bar Association.  She also serves on the Nashville Bar Association’s Federal Court Committee.

Ms. Hodde earned the Founder’s Award as valedictorian of her law school class.  She earned her Juris Doctorate from the Nashville School of Law where she was designated as a member of the Coopers Inn Honor Society for academic excellence.  She was also nominated for membership in the Harry Phillips American Inn of Court, a legal society comprised of judges and respected lawyers dedicated to the advancement of ethics and strict standards of professionalism in the legal community.  As an undergraduate, she earned a double major in Biochemistry and English from Emory University.

Ms. Hodde is admitted to practice in all of the local and appellate courts of Tennessee.  She is also admitted to practice in many federal courts, including the United States District Court for the Middle Districts of Tennessee, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, and the U.S. Supreme Court.  Ms. Hodde has also be admitted to practice Pro Hac Vice (as a guest of the Court) in several other federal Courts in the United States.

Ms. Hodde is a regular speaker on matters relating specifically to federal criminal defense for legal organizations providing continuing legal education to practicing attorneys.  She has been an invited guest speaker on issues relating to federal criminal defense at several law schools in Nashville.
