Benjamin H. Perry

Benjamin H. Perry is a Nashville-based criminal defense attorney with more than two decades of experience representing individuals and businesses facing serious federal and state charges throughout Tennessee and across the country. A founding partner of what was formerly the Law Office of Benjamin H. Perry, Mr. Perry brings the hands-on attention of a solo practitioner and the resources of a national firm to every client he serves.

Mr. Perry's practice centers on high-stakes federal and state criminal defense, including white-collar investigations, drug trafficking and RICO prosecutions, firearms offenses, fraud, and internet and computer crimes. He is known in the Tennessee legal community for his strategic preparation, his ability to navigate complex federal proceedings, and his commitment to personally guiding clients through every phase of a case from initial investigation through trial and appeal.

Alongside his criminal defense work, Mr. Perry has represented clients in select civil and business matters, including corporate and business litigation, financial institution representation, real estate disputes, and wills, trusts, and probate. This cross-disciplinary experience gives him a practical perspective on how criminal exposure intersects with business and personal financial interests a perspective his clients, who include physicians, executives, attorneys, business owners, athletes, and elected officials, often find invaluable.

Mr. Perry is also an active voice in the legal community. He teaches Continuing Legal Education courses for attorneys and has lectured at colleges, universities, and professional organizations on criminal law, constitutional issues, trial advocacy, and the federal justice system.

Admitted to practice before all Tennessee state courts, the United States District Courts for the Middle and Eastern Districts of Tennessee, the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court, Mr. Perry represents clients statewide and nationwide.
