A New York law firm with a roster of A-list clients has planted its flag in Nashville.

Meister Seelig & Schuster PLLC, formerly Meister Seelig & Fein, has expanded to Music City, marking the firm’s sixth office, according to a news release.

Longtime local criminal defense attorney Kimberly Hodde will lead the Nashville office as managing partner. She previously ran the solo practice Hodde & Associates.

Hodde is currently the firm’s only attorney in Nashville, but it plans to add up to four attorneys in the coming months, according to a spokesperson, eventually growing to around 12 attorneys. Its office will be on Music Row, at 40 Music Square E.

In addition to leading the Nashville office, Hodde will be a partner and serve as co-chair of the firm’s white collar and criminal defense group and chair of its national criminal defense practice, according to the release.

Meister Seelig & Schuster is a mid-size law firm with a wide range of practice areas, including criminal defense, crisis management, real estate, corporate law and more. The firm’s clients include celebrities, athletes and other high-net-worth individuals and companies.

The firm’s partners have represented rapper Cardi B, singer-actor Trey Songz, Super Bowl champion Justin Tuck, NFL agent Doug Hendrickson and others, according to its website. Partners Kevin Fritz and Mitchell Schuster are currently representing Wayfarer Studios LLC and Justin Baldoni in their high-profile legal battle with Blake Lively.

Hodde’s Nashville practice has been focused solely on criminal defense. Her practice areas include white collar crimes, violent crimes, crisis management, money laundering and many more, according to her website.

“When reputations hang in the balance, clients come to me because I have spent my career building a practice defined by dogged determination and the capacity to deliver exceptional results under extraordinary circumstances,” Hodde said in the release. “[Meister Seelig & Schuster] is growing with intention and has become a true ecosystem partner that I can harness to scale my impact and deliver at an even higher level for clients who expect nothing less.”

Meister Seelig & Schuster is in expansion mode, adding a Los Angeles office in 2023. In addition to its New York City headquarters and new Nashville location, the firm has offices in California, Connecticut and New Jersey.
